Scholarship Opportunity
The Linda Hankins' Memorial Young Women's Scholarship Fund was established as a means of providing financial aid to women seeking to obtain an undergraduate college degree.
Applicants must be women who have been active members in support of Lakeside United Methodist Church (UMC) for not less than the previous 12 months, who are pursuing an undergraduate college degree from a nationally accredited and recognized institution of higher learning and have a demonstrated need for financial assistance.
The $500 scholarship is awarded annually, based on an academic-year basis. Eligibility requirements are:
· Active member of Lakeside UMC for at least one year prior to applying
· A United States citizen
· Plan to attend an accredited college in the United States
Application packages should be turned in to the Church office. Application packages are due by the 27th of April. Determination will be made and the Endowment Fund Committee selection will be announced by the middle of May.
